Save the date for this year's Leyland Christmas Lights Switch On!
The 2025 Leyland Christmas Lights Switch On, hosted by South Ribble Borough Council in partnership with Leyland Town Team, promises to be a fun packed day for all the family!
On Saturday 29 November, Coronation Street star and Celebrity Big Brother winner Jack P Shepherd and former Liberty X member, winner of The Voice UK and front man for Wet Wet Wet Kevin Simm will be the special guests doing the honours of turning Leyland’s Christmas Lights On for 2025. 
The event, sponsored by Kitchen Doors Northwest, will start at 12 noon on Hough Lane with market stalls, children's attractions including fairground rides and face painter (fees apply), street food, live music and entertainment on stage from 1.30pm, followed by the main event (the Christmas Lights Switch On) taking place at 5.30pm.

Also, on the day there will be Santa's Grotto at Forget Me Not Flowers on Sumner Street, from 1pm to 5pm, free of charge (donations to Derian House welcome on the day), selection boxes (while stocks last). No need to book, just turn up.
PARKING AND ROAD CLOSURES
- Free parking will be available for the event on Ecroyd Street car park, Sumner Street car park, King Street car park and Churchill Way car park.
- Road closures will be in place on Hough Lane from the roundabout on School Lane outside The Gables pub to the junction with Herbert Street from 6am to 10pm. Diversions in place down King Street - buses will use the diversion.
- Please note there will be no overnight parking permitted on Quin Street and Hough Lane on Friday 28 November.
