These websites built on identical templates and are run by South Ribble Borough Council and Chorley Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the websites. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack)

Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 12 November 2025.
An accessibility test was conducted on 5 August 2025, and findings were implemented following evaluation of the site ahead of another test on 11 November 2025. A further evaluation was done leading to this accessibility statement of 12 November 2025.
In preparation of this statement testing and evaluation has been conducted on this site including a self-assessment by South Ribble Borough Council and an assessment by the Government Monitoring Team.
The accessibility compliance of this website and review of accessibility statement will take place annually.

Contacting us by phone or visiting us in person
We provide a text relay service for people who are deaf, hearing impaired or have a speech impediment.
Our offices have audio induction loops, or if you contact us before your visit we can arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter.
